We are pleased to announce the publication of a new research paper: “Verkle-based PORST – Post-Quantum Digital Signature Scheme”
Authors: Maksim Iavich, Sergei Simonov, and Razvan Bocu

As quantum computing technologies continue to advance, traditional cryptographic schemes based on discrete logarithm problems face increasing security challenges. This paper introduces a novel post-quantum digital signature scheme that combines the PORS approach with Verkle trees, achieving significantly smaller signature sizes compared to traditional Merkle-tree-based PORST constructions.
The proposed scheme reduces authentication overhead through constant-size vector commitment proofs while addressing the subset-resilience limitations of the original HORS signature family. The research contributes to ongoing post-quantum cryptography standardization efforts by offering a scalable and efficient signature solution that balances security, compactness, and verification performance.
This publication represents another important scientific achievement within our NATO SPS project activities focused on advancing next-generation cryptographic technologies for the post-quantum era.
