Dr. Cristina Maria Pacurar Presents Research on Post-Quantum Signature Schemes

Within the framework of the NATO Science for Peace and Security Programme (NATO-SPS) project, Dr. Cristina Maria Pacurar delivered an insightful seminar for project members, presenting her research paper: “An Analysis of Existing Hash-Based Post-Quantum Signature Schemes.”

The seminar highlighted how the rapid growth of quantum computing challenges classical cryptography and explored the evolution of hash-based signature schemes – from early one-time signatures to modern, scalable stateless designs. Special focus was given to Verkle trees, which enhance scalability and proof compactness.

This research underlines the critical role of symmetric cryptographic constructions in building secure and efficient post-quantum systems.
